A Note on Self Reliance

More and more, I’m shown examples of reasons why self reliance is of utmost importance.

Not just trusting what is given or supplied by an outside source, but creating your own, growing your own, looking deeper than what’s on the surface.

Today I learned about fraudulent companies selling homeopathic remedies.

Last week it was the chicken egg shortage.

And another HUGE area is the realm I have become to value most. Personal well-being.

Self-care, body care, energy system care.

One of my superpowers, something I do naturally and constantly is, I witness people. I observe them. And I was just traveling which gives you a lot of research subjects.

There was a lady limping off our plane. Her husband had full mobile capacity and she was moving slow. And while I didn’t know her story and the reason for her walking challenge, I DO KNOW ways in which she can support the mobility she does have.

I do know ways that she could have nourished her body on the flight. I do know that she is not stuck in her position of possibly chronic pain. And I do know that most of the practices that can support her are free once she learns them.

She could develop the knowledge to help herself. She could develop the trust to listen to her bodies own knowing and pivot moment by moment to meet her own deep needs.

I know that she could do this because I have done this, and I know that if I have done this, others can too. So, yeah, self-reliance is the new black.
