How Hi-End Hippie came to Be
I share my wisdom, taking cues from the Earth and the cosmos to live a life of Harmony.
Hi-End Hippie illuminates Harmony
It’s pretty catchy.
Hi-End Hippie.
So catchy that a number of businesses around the world have the same name, but with different spellings. And all of their foci is unique, none are the same. One sells soap, one is a clothing store, and my company focuses on handmade apothecary products.
I share my wisdom, taking cues from the Earth and the cosmos to live a life of Harmony. To be Super Natural! In your own nature.
Hi-End = high vibrations, high standards, high quality, the upper levels of consciousness, the expansion of awareness.
Hippie = one who lives close to the Earth and its rhythms, not caring much for conformity to societal norms.
So the story goes…
One evening in Hāna, Maui, almost 10 years ago. Three friends were hangin out and dreaming of what they could create in the world.
During the inspiring conversation, one friend said to the other, “You are like a Hi-End Hippie!”
The first friend was my partner, my husband, and I am the other.
He was referring to the fact that I really appreciate quality, high quality, in every area of my life. Any items, food, clothing, personal care items, home decor, relationships, heart to heart interactions, etc. And I don’t mean designer or brand name, but artisanal, handmade, unique, possibly one-of-a-kind, with attention to detail.
He was also referring to the fact that everyday, I walk around barefoot, talk to animals, plants, insects, and the wind, and they talk back. I harvest whatever is in season wherever I am, to work with immediately or preserve for the future. I SAVE everything, because one day you might just need it. I only work with natural products because I am sensitive to chemicals and synthetics. I move slow. My favorite thing to do is nothing. I’m more interested in the colors of the sunset than the newest film, most popular song or who’s the current president.
I’m the “hippie” in most circles. So, it seemed appropriate to name my company Hi-End Hippie, because it’s an extension of me, and my heart.
It’s one of my creative offerings to the world.
